Thank You just isn't enough

It is hard to believe we are ending another year and beginning not only another year but another decade – how did 2020 get here so fast. As time continues to accelerate faster these days, I find that it is important to take time to reflect over the last year.

As I ventured on this reflection journey of 2019, I realized I had a heart full of gratitude. Gratitude that we have had the opportunity every day to work with clients who are truly working on enhancing their leadership, businesses and teams. We have been able to see challenging relationships become more collaborative, leaders becoming stronger in the development of their teams, organizations become clearer on their direction, and teams thriving while working together on their common goals. At the end of the day, we have been able to work alongside some amazing individuals attempting to improve themselves and those around them.

Continuing on my reflection journey, I couldn’t help but appreciate the nonprofit organizations that we have been able to participate in through our volunteer work. I am inspired by the number of people working to make our communities stronger and healthier. From Erin’s involvement in Rotary to Rick’s involvement with Hospice as along with my involvement with French Hospital and LGTQ Chamber in SF to Maggie’s involvement with San Luis Obispo Chamber. I find a significant amount of gratitude for all the volunteers that provide their time, resources and expertise to enhance the well-being of others.

Of course I am grateful for the team of professionals that make up the Collaboration team. These folks that are driven by a higher purpose of service and are passionately committed to generating results for those we serve: our clients and our community. The gratitude I for them for challenging the status quo, relentlessly learning and gaining knowledge, driving to be creatively disciplined and focusing on always being relationship centered is sometimes hard to put in words. Imagine having a dream of impacting people’s lives and businesses and then, having the opportunity to be challenged every day in working towards this dream and having an amazing group of individuals supporting this dream to become a reality. How does one put that into words? Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.

So, as 2020 is clearly approaching, I am encouraged, energized and inspired to continue doing the work we love with people who are committed to achieving their goals, becoming stronger leaders and creating amazing organizations. During this holiday season have a toast and celebrate all that you are grateful for, have accomplished this year and for the future adventures you desire to undertake in 2020. Cheers.
